Message Wednesday: Limitations

Limitation a limiting condition; restrictive weakness; inability.
something that limits; a limit or bound; restriction (Dictionary.com).

How often do we place limitations on ourselves? If we were to be honest, the answer would be majority of the time. How many times have you doubted yourself? How many times have you allowed others to place limitations/restrictions on you? By saying:
“you can’t do this or that”, “you’re too old/young” or “you’re not qualified”.
Limitations are similar to restraints or weights that can slow down and usually hinder an individual from completing their assignment, fulfilling purpose and arriving at their destiny that the LORD has for their lives.

Take for instance, brother Moses in the book of Exodus. GOD’s chosen people the Israelites are held captive in Egypt. GOD hears their cry, see’s their afflictions and chooses a leader that will be their deliverer, Moses. Now lets break this down. When GOD saw the Israelites affliction; he raised up a leader that was capable of handling pressure, able to give instruction, and able to stand against opposition.

Notice GOD did not see Moses’ limitations but saw his greatness. But, Moses on the other hand when called upon to lead began to list his limitations or inabilities to GOD: not eloquent, slow of speech and a slow tongue. By listing his limits, the LORD became angry against Moses. Why? Because when GOD ordains and appoints you to a specific assignment or calling, he sees potential in his investment.

I have come to the realization that I have the ability and mindset to accomplish any and every goal or task that is aligned with the will of GOD for my life. The Lord Jesus states in Matthew 19:26 “With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible”. In man’s eyes you may not be qualified but with GOD, He has invested His spirit, His will and His purpose in you.
AMEN

  1. Very inspiring and still touching to know that no matter what, the word still fulfills itself. God has always been the head of my life, but every time I hear those stories about how he thinks more of us than we do ourselves is just touching to my soul. There’s none like him! #powerful#caring#loving#miracleworker#thegreatiam
